"When you know someone's going to hurt you, the adrenaline flies."
The semifinals are in full fling and the final four teams are San Diego Dynasty, Pittsburgh All Americans, Los Angeles Infamous and Stockholm Joy division. Before the matches get going, LB Fow gives an interesting but brief history of the paintball gun, even showing off one of the original Nel-Spot paintball guns.
Stockholm Joy Division and LA Infamous are tied at one game a piece and the winner of the first game will go to the finals. Both teams make the break without losing a player but Joy Division loses two players on a one for one before both teams lose a player each. Infamous is not aggressively moving up the field, but it doesn't matter because Joy Division is called for another one for one and forty-five seconds into the match Infamous leads 6-2. With the huge lead in players, Infamous is able to methodically march up the field and wins with six players left, letting them advance to the finals.
The second match is game two of San Diego Dynasty versus the Pittsburgh All Americans - with Dynasty leading 1-0, this is do or die for Pittsburgh. Off the Break Dynasty loses one and then a one for one gives Pittsburgh a quick 7-4 lead. The All Americans are able to advance up the field while Dynasty is holding back. An All American run is a trade off, leaving Pittsburgh with a 6-3 advantage. Over the next minute Dynasty's defensive stance works as they pick off two All Americans, leaving Pittsburgh with just a one man lead. As time is running out, both teams make some aggressive runs up the field and the game ends in a 1-1 tie.
The final game between San Diego and Pittsburgh starts with clean breaks for both teams. Since Dynasty has already won one game, a draw will let them advance so Dynasty is not playing very aggressively. A couple of minutes into the game, two All Americans are hit quickly, giving Dynasty a chance to push hard up the field. Pittsburgh loses another layer in the snake, leaving them down 7-4. Dynasty finally drops one man, but Pittsburgh loses another. Dynasty starts to aggressively move up the field with their superior numbers and after some intense fire, the win 4-0.
Next week will be the finals with San Diego Dynasty and Los Angeles Infamous.
