Guide Review - Viewloader VLocity
Design
The VLocity is Viewloader's top of the line hopper and it really packs a punch. It is simply designed with the batteries underneath the nose of the hopper and all the electronics and motor near the shooter. A very nice addition is the external on/off switch that makes it easy to tell when your hopper is on and it's easy to disconnect all power without unhooking your batteries. The hopper functions by rotating a cone with three blades that physically force paintballs balls down the feedneck. The VLocity has a large, 200-round capacity that results in a somewhat large, bulky hopper that dominates your gun's profile. The stock electronics are the area where the VLocity really excels. The Select Force™ chip allows the user to determine how much tension is kept on the paintballs - when you have any amount of constant tension there is a slight hum you can hear from the hopper. Additionally, there is an auto-reverse, anti-jam function that senses a jam and automatically reverses the impellor before proceeding to reload as normal. It has two sets of eyes to detect when paintballs are falling correctly and when there's a problem, it triggers the de-jamming function.
