The Bottom Line

The Viewloader Revolution is a basic, agitated hopper but it has been around for years and has earned its reputation for reliability and quality for the lower-priced, entry-level agitated hoppers. It's not as fast as fast as other loaders, but for the niche it fills it really performs.

Guide Review - Viewloader Revolution

Design

The Viewloader Revolution (or the "Revvy" as it is often called) is a very simply laid out agitated hopper - it's basically a classic gravity fed hopper with a small motor and battery pack on the back facing the shooter. It has sensors in the feedneck that tell it when no balls are present and it needs to spin. The battery door opens at the bottom where you can put in either one or two 9-volt batteries, depending on the version of the hopper you are using.

Performance

The Revolution is a great introductory agitated hopper. It is designed to keep balls from forming a bridge over the feed hole and it does a great job of that. I have found it to be very gentle on paint and it has a great battery life. While it will not feed nearly as fast as force-fed hoppers, it will feed fast enough (about 10 balls a second) for most beginner and intermediate paintball guns. I highly suggest that you remove the batteries between uses because the on/off switch has a tendency to get bumped in a gear bag which leaves you with dead batteries. Though I have cracked a shell with a bad fall, I have found the shells to be very durable and sturdy.
