One of the reasons people often give for paintball dying as a sport is because of the large number of dedicated players who give up the sport on a yearly basis. While this is true, it is not indicative of the sport dying as inexperienced players take their place and will eventually mature into the next wave of dedicated, experienced players. Think of it like football - every time a high school or college class graduates, thousands of dedicated players leave the sport, but they are immediately replaced by another group of equally-dedicated players. The same is true of paintball as the natural cycle of life changes causes many players to move onto other things.
