A Parent's Guide To Paintball is a comprehensive overview of the sport of paintball and will answer more questions than even a needy parent might have about the sport. It's more in depth than most people will need, but the book does a great job of covering the basics of paintball in print.

Guide Review - Book Review of "A Parent's Guide To Paintball"
If you casually research the history of Paintball, Steve Davidson's name will eventually come up. Not only has he been involved in the sport for over 25 years as a promoter, he also is one of the most prolific writers of paintball, including his current gig as editor of 68caliber.com. With his extensive knowledge of the sport, he definitely has the credentials to write a paintball guide for parents.
A Parent's Guide to Paintball is, if nothing else, comprehensive and will answer even the most needy parent's questions about the sport. More than just a summary of what paintball is, Davidson does an excellent job of explaining to parents the questions they should be asking.
Davidson's writing style is conversational and he comes across as one who really wants to share his knowledge without trying to convince parents to allow their children to play paintball. He does a good job of conveying the information without turning into a technical book that puts you to speak. That said, the nature of the material can be a little dry, but the book handles the material well.
If you are looking for a single book to gain a basic understanding of paintball, A Parent's Guide To Paintball is the best currently available. While basically all of the information can be found online, this is the best resource I have found in print to explain what paintball is all about. You won't finish reading it and be an expert, but you will, hopefully, know enough about the game that you'll be excited to try it out with your child.
