The Panzer is the brainchild of engineer and tinkerer Philip Parsons and has transformed from a hobby into a business over the past several years. It measures 7 feet long and 3 feet wide and is powered by a Honda GX390 engine. It's not designed to break any speed records, but its dual track control (one lever for the left track and one for the right) allows for precise control. The tank is able to go up grades of 30 degrees, climb over objects up to half its height and cross ditches up to a third of its length.
How, you might ask, does a player in a tank battle with others? Obviously the tank isn't designed as a tool to simply drive around and shoot others with immunity - it will typically be used by a field general to survey the field or else will be eliminated if it is shot a certain number of times in a specific spot. Also, don't expect the Funtrak Panzer to show up in your neighbors backyard any time soon - with it's £9,800 (nearly $20,000) price tag it is primarily going to be marketed to professional fields where people can then rent the tank for an hour or so.
