Performance of High-End Paintball Guns

Friday November 16, 2007
Angel 1Have you ever tried to have a civil conversation with an Ego user and explain to them in purely rational terms why their paintball gun just isn't any better than whatever you're using? If so, you know it's a losing battle. It's also a losing battle to explain why the NXT Shocker isn't all it's made up to be. Or why the Angel 1 really isn't better than anything else. Or, for that matter, have you ever convinced any paintball gun owner that their gun isn't the best?
The reason this is a losing argument is simple: high-end paintball guns are pretty comparable. All high-end guns can fire as fast as you can pull the trigger, are very accurate and are light and compact. The differences from one gun to the next are usually minimal and often cosmetic. What gun to get depends on you - do you like slightly lighter or more solid? Large grip or smaller frame? It's all preference, so the next time you try to argue the advantage of one high-end gun over another, just remember that it's kind of like trying to argue that blue is a better color than green.

As far as how fast and reliably it shoots, you’re right. But maintenance ease and the battery level indicator are what converted me to egoism.

Shocker, good. Ego, good, but I’m not a big enough baby to go spend $600 just to make easier to clean and turn on.

Great overview of gear. Thanks very much. I just started going to our local paintball park and I have wanted to ask questions, but feel a bit intimidated asking the regulars. =) This helps a lot.

If you’re a serious competitor and demand nothing but performance from your gun, then you certainly want to have a look at paintball guns that incorporate the Anti Chop System. Spyder paintball guns have remarkable firing capability with up to 30 balls-per- second and new barrel designs for their guns, as well, featuring a two-piece twist barrel with rifled bore. Consider for a moment, how you will benefit with spyder paintball guns complete with deluxe take-down pin, rubber-sided panel grips, and the fine craftsmanship their paintball guns can offer you. They also include a tournament-style velocity adjuster and machine-cut body for lightweight performance when the going gets tough!

There is a problem with spiders, At hight rate of fire they curve, Now don’t tell em they don’t because they do I own one. Thats why I’m trying to move away from there guns. Speed ball is really hard when the balls curve.
