We're coming up on the end of 2009 and I must say that it's been an interesting year in the paintball world. From the collapse of the NPPL to end of countless local stores and fields, the paintball industry has been hit hard. Despite the financial insecurity, the paintball industry is moving forward. New fields are springing up and there's always room for a new manufacturer to step in and produce a better paintball gun. While many players have quit playing the sport this past year, thousands of others have taken it up.
It's been a roller coaster ride of a year, but paintball is still a fun, exciting sport that is not going anywhere. Whatever happens to the industry, I know that I will still be playing it next year and during years to come. Here's to an exciting 2010.

2009 will be a year that makes the history books for it’s frightening economic climate. I agree with this blogger that the industry will survive. We will see wise, fiscally responsible paintball businesses still in business at the end of this crisis. History has proven time and again that the financial climate influences, but does not crush business. In time of economic crisis, people who have good spending habits will still hang on, while those who live in debt will flounder. Somehow, though, it seems those folks come out the other side of the tunnel with everyone else. Don’t quite understand that, however. Paintball will do well in the year 2010 because it will give an outlet for frustration, a opportunity of exercise, a moment of fantasy. All of these things are needed to survive a crisis of any kind.
This should be an interesting year for the entire sport of paintball. Hopefully everything will bounce back and the sport will thrive once again.
Cant wait to see all the cool stuff for the 2010 season.
