Which Hopper Should I Use?

Friday March 28, 2008
Photo Courtesy of PriceGrabber There are dozens of hoppers and loaders on the market, but not all are created equal. Everyone has their preferences, and I'm no exception. I know what I like and I like what I use. So then, what do I use? Well, in all truth, I'm not super picky and I'm not dead set on using one specific hopper at all times and I switch things up quite a bit. But, if I had to choose my favorite hopper/loader on the market as of today, I know what I'd choose. Actually, I would choose two. When I use a high-speed electro I like the Viewloader VLocity. When I use a mechanical or electro-mechanical gun I like the Empire Reloader II.

I'm not opposed to using a Halo B or a Revvy or anything else, I just have my preferences and I'm sure you have yours. But if you're in the market for a new hopper, check out some options and make an informed decision. And whatever you do, don't get a Viewloader Quantum.

Along the sames line as the Quantum, I wouldn’t suggest getting a hopper that ran all of the time, whether it’s a VL Force, Torque, or a Quantum, especially for woods play, when you need your sense of hearing undisturbed by any silly motor that drones on and on and on…

I particularly like the qloader system. It’s extremely quiet, no battery required so no little motor running noise. Load up 500 rounds worth in the qpods (just like pods/loaders) so when you need more paintballs you just detach the used qpod and snap in a new one with 100rnds and your rdy for battle again. No messy filling on the field, unless you blow through 500 rounds fast. Not so good for speed ball but for bushball this is an awesome piece of equipment.
