SPPL Will Host Paintball Clinic
The SPPL is trying to give woodsball the same appeal as tournament speedball complete with large prizes and competitive national tournaments. One other thing that they announced is their inclusion of a paintball clinic at their Georgia Qualifier on March 14th. Darryl Trent, a former paintball pro, will give instructions on a range of topics from walking the field to how to properly work the bunkers.
I think having the pros teach the beginners is a great idea that all other tournaments embrace. An hour or two before each tournament all of the professional or elite level players could just come out and spend some one on one time with the lower-division participants and a few of the top players could give some group instruction. It would help people improve their game and it also would be a great way to network in the paintball community.

I would definitely recommend the SPPL to anyone who is thinking about getting started in paintball competitions. It is the most fun I have ever had in almost nine years of playing. This is a great year to get started too because for the first time the SPPL will have devisions so first timers will be able to compete against other first timers. The prizes are awesome, and it is a great way to get some national coverage for your team. Writers and photographers from several big paintball magazines and websites are always in attendance. Right now the league is still small, but it is growing fast, so get a team together and jump on board.
