The
SPPL is trying to give woodsball the same appeal as tournament speedball complete with large prizes and competitive national tournaments. One other thing that they announced is their inclusion of a paintball clinic at their Georgia Qualifier on March 14th. Darryl Trent, a former paintball pro, will give instructions on a range of topics from walking the field to how to properly work the bunkers.
I think having the pros teach the beginners is a great idea that all other tournaments embrace. An hour or two before each tournament all of the professional or elite level players could just come out and spend some one on one time with the lower-division participants and a few of the top players could give some group instruction. It would help people improve their game and it also would be a great way to network in the paintball community.
