It was inevitable. Paintball has reached the subcontinent. Sure, paintball has been hanging around America for nearly 30 years and it's been around nearly that long in Europe, but now it's not only in India, it's getting some press. The Times of India, the largest English language paper in India, has a two page article devoted to paintball. It gives a brief history of the sport and also talks about how it's being embraced by the locals.
With the spread of paintball all over the world, it shouldn't be long until you can take a trip anywhere in the world and try out the local fields. For me, I'd like to be part of the first snow game in Antartica. Don't think it will happen? Just wait...

Should I require any licence to operate a paintball field in India? If yes, who is the authority?. Is any affiliation required from Sports Ministry?

anyways we have been doing professional paintballing League for the last 2 years and we just finished our first tournament for 2009 and will be selecting the best players for the Mellieum series which we are participating the end of the year .
