Learn to Leap Like a Frog
Monday May 28, 2007
You're sitting behind a bunker and you know you need to advance to get your team in position to attack the opposing base. You glance to your right and see a large tree about thirty feet away. You poke out your head, fire a few shots in the general direction of the opposing team hoping to get them to duck their heads and you run like mad. You hear paintballs whizzing past you, and just as you dive behind your new cover, a ball breaks right on your side. As you walk off the field, you wonder what went wrong. Did you have a plan? Check. Did you run like crazy? Yep. Did you get the other team to duck their heads? Definitely. What, then, went wrong? As you finally get to the dead zone, you realize, "Oh, yeah, I tried to do things on my own."
Paintball is a team sport, and to effectively compete, you must learn to operate as a team. A simple way to effectively advance is the leapfrog. It's simple, but a little practice and planning make all the difference in the world.
